What file types are supported?
The usual suspects: .pdf, .doc/docx, .xls/xlsx, .ppt/pptx, .txt, .csv, .png, .jpeg/jpg, .gif, .bmp and .svg
Can I upload an audio or video file?
Regrettably, no. For audio or video submissions we recommend creating a YouTube link and sharing it.
How will I know if my submission has been received?
You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.
How long does it take to receive a decision on my submission?
Three to five weeks depending on the time of year.
What is the submission review process?
Your submission will first be reviewed by at least one reviewer from the MedEdGuru team. If the submission is not in English, a medical professional fluent in the language of your submission will be identified. In the first pass, we will review the format of your content and determine if all needed materials have been provided. Submissions will then be reviewed by at least two content experts, one on the MedEdGuru team and one from outside our team. While this phase is an attempt to identify plagiarism and any egregious errors in factual accuracy, the content of all submitted materials remains the responsibility of the authors.
What happens to my submission if it is accepted?
Congratulations! If you submission is accepted you will be notified and provided with a link to the published resource to share with your network as you choose.
Will my submission by attributed to me?
Yes, absolutely. You and any other co-authors/co-creators as appropriate will be named at the time of publication.
How do I put my submission on my CV?
If accepted, we will send you a recommended citation. Additionally, we are happy to provide our contributors with data regarding number and geographic distribution of views so that you may include this information in your teaching portfolio. Given our small team size, we currently allow data to be requested once per year per author.
